Description

Kao Kalia Yang is a Hmong American writer and author of the award-winning books The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir and The Song Poet. She lives in Minnesota with her husband, her daughter, and twin sons. A Map Into the World is her first picture book. Visit her online at www.kaokaliayang.com.

Kalia Yang will read her new picture book, A Map Into the World. This lovely story about a young child helping her elderly neighbor find joy and a map into the world after the passing of his wife was inspired by people living in our East Saint Paul community. Families with young children will be able to listen to the wonderful story and participate in a craft that will help them discover their own maps into their worlds.

Kao Kalia Yang will also present an author talk at Arlington Hills Library on December 5 at 6 p.m.
