November is a busy month for the Hmong people. Aside from harvesting goods from the garden, it is also a time when families come together. Weekends are packed with soul calling events, to bring souls of individuals back as a family to prevent sickness. The house is swept away of bad omen, and welcomed with new blessings.
The Hmong people have been in the US for 45 years. This year would have been the 42nd year of the annual Hmong New Year at the River Center, one of the largest in the nation. If you have not gone to see it for yourself, here is your chance to tune into the entertainment part of the celebration.
