Shrink Art uses sheets of plastic that can be drawn on, cut, and baked in an oven to make any kind of design you like. Fun for kids, they are also becoming popular as a medium for adult crafters. This program will show you how draw, cut, bake them in the oven and turn them into key chains, pins and necklaces.
All registrants will be able to pick up a kit with all the supplies (except for an oven). The kits will include designs from pop culture you can trace, or you can design your own. You must register to receive a kit, but you can also attend using your own materials. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your preferred branch for kit pickup by Thursday, April 15th. If we do not hear from you by April 15th, kits will need to be picked up at George Latimer Central Library during Library Express hours. We will email you when the kits are sent out.
This program will be online via Microsoft Teams. We will email you the link 24 hours before the program. The program will be recorded for future viewing by the public.
This activity is appropriate for families with school-aged children to do together. Adult supervision is required.
