Read Brave: Talk Brave with Junauda Petrus-Nasah, Mayor Melvin Carter, and Irreducible Grace Foundation

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Description

Local author Junauda Petrus-Nasah, Saint Paul Mayor, Mayor Melvin Carter, and Irreducible Grace Foundation on this year’s theme of owning our stories.

We Read Brave, now it’s time to Talk Brave with one another. We asked Minneapolis-based author, Junauda Petrus-Nasah, Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, and Latrese Johnson and Moises Meza from partner Irreducible Grace Foundation to sit down together to Talk Brave about themes found in this year’s Read Brave main book selection by Petrus-Nasah, The Stars and the Blackness Between Them.

Join us and other community members for a live premier of their conversation on owning our stories, healing, accountability, and more.

Event will be hosted on Facebook. The link will be emailed prior to April 24 and posted to this event page.

Read Brave is Saint Paul Public Library’s citywide reading initiative that uses the power of stories to bring people of all ages together to read, discuss, and take action on an issue relevant to our city. This year’s theme is “Owning Our Stories: Rising Together for a Better Saint Paul.”
