Read Brave: Youth Artability Show

All Day
George Latimer Central Library

Description

Tuesday, March 7 - Sunday April 2 (Closed Mondays)

Stop by the George Latimer Central Library to view the Read Brave Youth Artability Show! The artwork will be displayed on the first floor in Youth Services, the Skinner Teen room, and on the third floor in the Workforce and Innovation Center. This year’s Read Brave theme is mental health, and we’ve partnered with People Incorporated—the largest community mental health providers in Minnesota—to feature art made by 15 magnificent students in their Artability program.

People Incorporated is an integrated resource for children coping with mental illness and works in partnership with educators, schools, families, and community partner Change Inc. to ensure quality mental health care is accessible to all students. Artability workshops provide a safe healing space for students to tap into creativity within themselves, free of judgments.

Read Brave Saint Paul is brought to you by the Saint Paul Public Library and The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library.

This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, with special support from a Saint Paul Public School’s Community Partnership ARP Grant and from The Saint Paul Saints.
