Celebrating Earth Day: Creating Upcycled Pop-out Poetry Books

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Highland Park

Description

Create your own pop-out poetry book using upcycled materials such as discarded papers, magazines, and newspapers in a fun, casual setting. This hands-on workshop is facilitated by Saint Paul-based multi-disciplinary artist Dawn Wing (she/her). Dawn will also present a brief artist talk sharing her process and tips for making visual poetry artist books.

The workshop is open to ages 12 and up. Supplies will be provided. Participants are, however, welcome to bring their own upcycled, 2D paper-based materials (magazines, junk mail, used stamps, found art, postcards, flyers, etc.) No prior experience required!
