Lab After Dark: Crochet Granny Squares Inspired by Book Covers

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
George Latimer Central Library

Description

Don’t let BookTok FOMO get you down! Join the crafty trend of commemorating books you’ve read into a cozy granny square! Your reading journey can be turned into a blanket, scarf, tote, coaster, or anything you can dream up.

A beginner basic granny square pattern will be provided as well as an assortment of yarn and crochet hooks. This is perfect for the person who always wanted to learn to crochet but didn’t know where to start!

For intermediate crocheters, if you have your heart set on a specific granny square/book cover, please bring your pattern and materials and we will help get you going.

Bring leftover yarn from projects you’ve already finished. It might be perfect for someone’s book cover!

Talk about books you’re reading.

Find your next crochet project with our selection of crochet books.
