Join Saint Paul Public Library for the annual Minnesota Black Authors Expo at George Latimer Central Library. Meet and connect with more than 20 Black authors as they showcase their work.
Aspiring writers can explore the publishing world, teens and adults can join writing workshops, and families can enjoy hands-on activities in the Kids' Corner.

Schedule of Events:
10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. — Writers Bootcamp for emerging and established writers
Learn the ins and outs of publishing. Registration preferred, but not required.
11 a.m.–4 p.m. — Author Meet & Greet + Innovation Lab Makers Space + Kids Corner
Meet authors, discover new books, and enjoy activities for all ages, including storytimes, and hands-on experiences in the Innovation Lab.
12–1 p.m. — Teen Creative Writing Workshop
For teens—and anyone with a creative imagination.
1–2:30 p.m. — Keep Hope Alive: A Jesse Jackson Tribute
Featuring an author panel, youth speakers, spoken word, and musical performances.
3–3:30 p.m. — Drumming Circle and Storytelling
Connect through music, movement, and storytelling in a lively, musical experience.

Parking & Transportation:
Street parking is very limited. Public transit or nearby parking ramps are recommended. The Science Museum ramp is closest; the RiverCentre ramp offers skyway access via the RiverCentre Connection tunnel. The library is located in the Xcel Energy Center event zone, so Saturdays can be busy—please plan ahead.
