In this 101-minute DISCOVERY Channel documentary, award-winning filmmaker Werner Herzog turns his camera on a group of remarkable individuals who reveal their dreams while working and surviving in a harsh landscape on Antarctica.. Quite…

Lots of weird people, up close and personal. Interesting. And nature. Extras are well worth while.

Werner Herzog rarely disappoints. This film has an extra DVD which includes a conversation between Jonathan Demme and Herzog which shouldn't be missed.

Not one of Werner Herzog’s better documentaries. Rather boring at times. If you have seen footage of Antarctica then most of this will be a rehash. In this documentary he focuses more on the people rather than the animals. There are…

Some interesting footage that made me think. Much better than Herzog's cave movie. Still, it was overdone. The bit about the lone penguin going off to his certain death? Or when they put their heads to the ice to listen to the animal…

dazzling, full of quiet pathos and surpirises. in a tired film world full of fluff and nonsense, werner herzog reminds me that there is quality and substance after all.

Any excellent documentary on people that chose to work in Antarctica. German director Werner Herzog has an interesting approach and raised some interesting questions to his interviewees. It is a 2-disc DVD set, with much additional video…

Truly amazing mysterious unknown Antarctica...especially, under ice cap videos...One suspects if this is really our planet Earth!
