Buddy is an orphan who finds a home in the North Pole. His adopted father raised him as though Buddy were a regular elf-child. Buddy is the tallest, bassiest, happiest elf, but he still doesn't quite fit in. When he learns that his biological father is not an elf, and happens to be on the naughty list, Buddy sets off on a mission to meet this man.

One of my favorite holiday movies!!!
Laugh out funny. One of my all time seasonal favorites.
I recently watched the movie Elf. A Christmas classic and one of my favourite Christmas movies. This movie takes place in the heart of New York City. I love how enjoyable this movie is for people of all ages. It’s one of those movies that you end up watching every year around Christmas. Will Ferrell is an amazing character. I love how well he portrayed his character Buddy the elf. Buddy’s personality is the best part of this movie. He’s clueless and effortlessly funny which makes you want to watch the movie more. I like how he’s portrayed as more of a child in an adult's body because though he looks old he acts like a child which is the humour throughout the film. Definitely a Christmas classic, I rate this movie a 5/5.

The 2003 movie Elf is one of the most classic must-watch comedies to see during the holiday season. The movie is about a human born to believe he was an elf, as he travels from the North Pole to the "Big Apple" of New York City in search of his human father. Will Ferrell's portrayal of the lost "man-child", Buddy the elf is purely iconic and can't be overlooked. His lines have stayed relevant even close to two decades later. It is a purely family friendly comedy that reminds you of the joys of the Christmas season and the power of believing in Santa. I would definitely make sure to add it to any holiday bucket list. 5 Stars

Elf, I give this movie a 4 out of 5. This movie is a Christmas classic and would have a five out of five if it wasn't overused at Christmas time, and that's the sad part about this movie. Apart from that, it is a great movie when it comes to Christmas movies. It is a family-friendly movie so everyone can watch this movie and it's great for getting into the Christmas spirit. Elf is a comedy that the jokes will never get old, many times my sister and I will just say random lines from this movie and make each other laugh. I have many fond memories when this movie comes on, just random moments in this movie makes me remember moments when I was younger and when I would watch this movie. Will Ferrell does an amazing job playing buddy, it's like he was born for this role and I can just imagine how happy he was just to play buddy. the soundtrack is mediocre its nothing to be so happy about it, they are just regular Christmas songs but that what makes it a Christmas movie and very festive. I recommend this movie around Christmas time, or whenever you feel like watching a Christmas movie.

Such a funny movie!!!
No Christmas season is complete without watching this hysterical holiday classic. A great pick for families too!
Will Ferrell (Buddy) brings his slightly manic comedic flair to this story of a misplaced orphan who learns a) he's human, not an elf and b) his dad is still alive. He arrives in New York City with an outsider lens, leading to mostly well-played comic moments: meeting his dad as a weird Santagram; asking a girl out; spaghetti for breakfast; and a hilarious work/dance routine in a corporate mailroom. There's some wooden acting (the relationship with his new brother is not quite believable) and occasional vulgarity, but in general, you never really doubt that Santa will find the power to fix his broken sleigh and keep Christmas on-time.
This is one of those movies that when I first saw it advertised I thought it was going to be horrible, like most of the ridiculous movies that feature former SNL cast members. I did not expect it to be as good or as hilarious as it is. I absolutely loved it and although I have yet to see another Will Farrell movie that I like as much as this one, his performance as Buddy the Elf was flawless and it raised my credibility of him as an actor. The perfect holiday movie! I have this on DVD but I watch it every time it's on cable as well. For a while they were showing it all year long and I can understand why. I loved Zooey Deshanel and the rest of the cast.
This album was recently released by Travis Scott last year (2018). This must be in my top 3 favourite albums. This is Travis Scotts best work as there was a lot of hype built up to this album. I enjoyed every song in this album, the best part was that you weren’t aware who was featured, until you listened to the whole song. There was a lot of different artists throughout the whole album and every artist gave a different tone to each song. If you enjoy rap music, I would highly recommend listening to this album as it includes a variety of other rap artists making it more enjoyable. 4.5/5 stars @EffyStonem of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library.
Released in 2018, Astroworld is Travis Scott’s latest music album. Much like some of his other projects, most of the singles in the album shot to fame right away. The album had been anticipated for a long period of time, and it didn’t particularly disappoint. The song, “Sicko Mode” received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. With a variety of songs, the album features several other recognizable artists along with Travis Scott himself, such as The Weeknd, Drake, Frank Ocean, Swae Lee, Kid Cudi, and many more. All in all, while I enjoyed some songs far more than others, the album had a pretty nice sound to it. I would give it a rating of 3.5 stars.

"Elf" is what one would call a modern-day classic. Why? Well, the plot's not bad, the acting is decent, but it's not exactly what I would call memorable. Except for the Elf himself. Buddy has that obnoxiously contagious Christmas spirit that you just can't get out of your head. Or memes. It's a cute, campy film, which is pretty much 95% of Christmas flicks you like to pop into your video player of choice. 3.5 Stars.
