Andrew Weil has been a world-renowned authority and pioneer in the field of integrative medicine for nearly half a century now. Rather than focusing on exercise, nutrition or meditation, he takes a holistic approach by applying a wide variety of principals and techniques on the body as a whole - both physically and mentally.
The approach he presents in this wonderful and informative book is unique. Rather than trying to convince people that they can live significantly longer if they just follow the right program, Dr. Weil instead focuses on how to live a healthy and happy life in the time that we are given, whether that is 50 years or 150.

I really liked this book for an intro to aging for public health, but it does require some supplemental readings. Focuses more on the context of individual health, but also has a good discussion of how this topic is seen within our society.
