Tess: hmm?
Jane: Yeah. He hates cashews. Which is weird. And sometimes he wears shoes without socks. Which I think is just gross.
Tess: Jane, those aren't exactly deal breakers.
Jane's Aunt: Must be so hard to watch your younger sister get married before you.
Jane: Yes. Then I remember that I still get to have hot hate sex with random strangers and I feel SO much better!
Jane: [after spending a drunken night with Kevin] I just want you to know, I never do this.
Kevin: Oh, I know.
Jane: No, really. I never, never do this.
Kevin: No, really, I know. Last night, you kept saying it over and over again: "I never do this", "I *never* do this", "I never *do* this"...
Jane: Okay. I just wanted you to know.

Really cute movie and one that I didn't appreciate when I first saw it years ago. I loved the surprise of seeing James Franco in this. He was great as were the other cast members. Really funny in some parts and sweet in others. Definitely not your average wedding movie. The cast was great and the ending is so worth waiting for!
Another romantic film starring everyone's best friend Heigl who was in "Killers 2010," "One for the Money 2012" and "Jackie & Ryan 2015." all entertaining. Agree with COURIER3 that the bar scene when Heigl got a little tipsy and let her hair down was the most fun.
I checked this out as I like to watch Heigl. Bit far fetched as to who can afford 27 dresses?
Lots of surprises. Gave it 4 stars. Liked the Benny and the Jets scene in the bar.
This movie is my favorite romantic comedy with Katherine Heigl. The former Grey's Anatomy star is the much put-upon Jane, taken for granted at work and at home. When her fun-loving sister breezes back into town and makes a play for Jane's boss, Jane decides she's had enough of just being a bridesmaid and decides to get her own happy ending.
I found this to be quite entertaining. After giving it some thought, it seems like Katherine Heigl's character and her boss could've had more chemistry (at least he seemed more mature), but Kevin was also interesting and charming. I just don't agree with the strong reference in the movie to having to consume alcohol to let go and have fun. I think the fact that Jane and Kevin had a lot in common and shared some good times were enough to make them a match (without the alcohol). Anyway, it was entertaining and funny!
Cute, lightweight movie about the classic over-achiever who fails to put herself first and the consequences. In some ways this is the stereotypical uptight person meets free spirit. However, the free-spirited writer, who initially sees a lucrative story to exploit, winds up undergoing his own journey in changing. Get ready for lots of hokey dresses.
I was surprised that I ended up really liking this. Thought it was going to be really dumb after the bad rep Katherine Heigl got for a while, but it's worth seeing I think. Made me laugh and cry and it was fun.
A predictable movie that is still really cute no matter how many times you watch it. Fun and will make you want to sing Bennie and the Jets. :)
If you’re looking for a good romantic comedy to watch, I really recommend 27 dresses. This movie follows the adventures of Jane, who has been a constant bridesmaid. She is fun; loving, and kind- she is the perfect friend. Jane has made the effort to exempt the word “no” from her vocabulary, and plans weddings for her friends, with no charge. She has also been working as an assistant manager to the CEO of an environmentally friendly clothing and outdoor equipment company. Even though she works as a wedding planner almost all the time, she doesn’t quite her daytime job because she develops a massive crush on her CEO, George, but he is too blind to notice her feelings. Her sister, Tess, comes into town and soon George and Tess fall in love. Jane is annoyed and hurt, and doesn’t know what to do. As life becomes harder for Jane, a man she met at a wedding, named Kevin Doyle, won’t leave her alone because he is curious about her. This movie will show how Jane feels while she thinks her life is spiraling down.
This movie was fun, dramatic, and hilarious all at the same time! Katherine Heigl did a very good job at portraying her character Jane. If I had to rate this movie, I would give it an eight out of ten stars. Overall, it was an amazing movie, but at times I found myself not paying attention to the movie. I felt that some scenes were dragged out, and some of the scenes were very cliché. Half way through the movie, I knew how it was going to end, but there were some scenes that were very unexpected. I would definitely watch this movie a second time, and if you are looking for a classic romantic comedy, then pick up 27 dresses!
