I like Lumley as an actress but felt that her role in this feature was weak. I was bored.

It is clever and has a definite adult (aging person not x-rated) theme about it. For that we liked it and found it worth watching for a while. We stopped watching after 3 episodes as we didn't really 'like' any of the characters and saw them becoming less likeable as it seemed the inevitable would happen (the aging looks oriented woman would tear apart their union and it would be messy). The son gets a badge of honor- he was brilliant as the selfish adult 'child' who is educated but broken.

Too much unimportant dialogue not enough substance to this movie. Watched about 1/2 an hour and gave up.

I enjoyed the series very much. It was funny, touching and the hospital scene made cry in a good way at the tenderness and bitter-sweetness of it all.

I also enjoyed the music and the scenic - a lot of eye candy visuals.

Joanna Lumley is luminous! Odd, funny, touching story about a complicated couple...I laughed and cried, sometimes simultaneously. Highly recommended!

For whatever reason, I just could not get in to this series. I tried. So, for that reason, I'm not going to rate this DVD. Others seem to like it, it may just be me.

The cinematography is stunning.
Lumley is brilliant - and so lovely to look at.

Fantastic. May take an episode or two to get into it, and appreciate the dry humour. But it is totally worth it! Lumley is at her absolute best!
