GREASE IS THE WORD!!! Every time I watch Grease, it takes me back to 1978, and my elementary school days. The music was SO popular back then and when you see the film, you'll know why. We all knew in 1977 that John Travolta could dance, but a year later, who knew that he could sing as well? I've never seen the Broadway musical, but this movie is as hilarious now as it was back then. I think if I ever saw this on stage, I'd be forever comparing it to the movie! Olivia Newton John and John Travolta (whom my classmates and I lovingly referred to as "Olivia Newton-John Travolta", still make the perfect couple! If I made a list of my 50 favorite films, Grease would definitely be on it!

Grease is a classic teen love musical with a bit of a twist, along with a taste of typical high school antics. The Pink Ladies add a great deal of personality to the movie, as well as Danny Zuko and his gang. I wouldn't say that Grease is for younger kids, but I think anyone around the age of 12 or above can enjoy this movie. Grease had me laughing, smiling, and full of suspense throughout! The songs from this movie are masterpieces, they'll have you humming the tune all day long! I'd say that this movie is certainly cheesy, but this can be expected from a teen love musical. Overall, this movie is worth a watch! @peraltiago4ever of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This film is an absolute classic amongst classics and truly explores the complexities of people and teenage cliques in the most entertaining, raw, and musical way possible. Set in the 1950’s, Sandy and Danny had a crazy summer romance before meeting up again at the same high school. Problem is, Sandy wears a poodle skirt and Danny wears a leather jacket. The two must overcome themselves and social pressures and find a way to come together regardless of the odds. The movie has many fascinating characters that make this film such a classic. I would rate this movie 5/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Not well known, but Travolta and Newton-John bonded deeply as a result of this movie...a relationship that Travolta claims in an interview continued through their lives to this very day, marrages, divorces, and all. Reportedly, steady phone calls during both the best and worst of times Who would have thought this of two "fifties" kids, huh?

This movie is one of my favorite classic musicals. It is an oldie but a goodie and makes me want to dance every time I watch it. Grease is about a girl in high school who is considered a goodie goodie and falls in love with a bad boy that is the total opposite of her, he’s the ideal boyfriend and is part of a gang. This movie is a 70’s comedy and takes you on a ride of so many different feelings of happiness, laughter and even sadness. I love the music and the different fashion styles and dances from the 70’s that are shown throughout the movie and with the main characters. I would rate this a 5/5 stars. I recommend it to anyone of the age 10 and up. Overall, it’s a fun movie and will guarantee to sweep you of your feet-literally! @chocolate_loving_teen of the Teen Review Board a the Hamilton Public Library

To be honest, after watching Grease, I still don’t understand why this movie is so highly praised. I usually don’t like to watch old movies since the graphics are bad and I can never understand the dialogue. But I felt that everyone had to watch Grease at least once in their life, after all what could go wrong with watching a musical about love. Well, halfway through the movie I realized that I was mistaken. In fact, the entire movie was tedious and just…dumb. The plot is all over the place, the dancing was bad and don’t get me started on the singing. On the internet this movie is dubbed a timeless classic. No matter when or what year you watch Grease it will still retain its cultural significance. But now, I realize that not everything the internet says is true.

Grease is an amazing film about high school teens in the 50s that features a lot of laughs, drama, and fantastic music! The characters are all extremely loveable and unique, and they are played by awesome actors such as John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. I just adore everything about this movie! The fashion, the choreography, the settings, and of course the music. You can’t help but sing along the whole time. The songs will be stuck in your head for days and you won’t even mind it one bit! Rating 5/5 stars.

This is not a review, just a comment. If you can, please borrow the Blu-ray Disc because the motion picture was beautifully restored and is presented in wide screen cinema format. Also, there are bonuses which can be enjoyed. Enjoy!

The music for this movie is going to last. It is so much fun. It'll make you want to dance and sing. The adaptation of the story from the stage play, though, is flawed. Because of the star power of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, the characters of Danny and Sandy were beefed up at the expense of the rest of the cast. And it's the rest of the cast and their storylines that are far more interesting, in particularly Stockard Channing and Jeff Conaway. Overall, the movie is fun, even if the plot is eye-rolling in the message that it sends. "Change so the person you love will love you!" No, no thank you.

The songs, the dancing and the style of the '50s makes for a great entertaining musical!
