Amy Sedaris's humour shines throughout this book. Her take on entertaining is not like Martha Stewart et al. Her ideas, often cheap and cheerful are well within the average budget of someone who entertains at home. I especially love the photographs. They remind me of cookbooks, my mom used to own.

This book was sooo funny! I am new to Amy Sedaris, but figured if she was anything like her brother, David she would be a good read & boy was I right. They must have had the most hysterical childhood. As I mentioned previously in one of my updates, I wasn't in the book for the recipes or for the how to host a good party information I was in it for the humor and I was not disappointed it. Though I have to admit if you're into hosting parties and cooking and such it did have some very helpful tips...I learned a thing or two. I will be starting her second book, Simple Times: crafts for poor people which I'm sure just from the title won't disappoint.
