First problem, the patterns in this book come printed in the thinnest possible tissue paper. It is very messy to open the sheets of paper in order to be able to copy the patterns. Also, a bit difficult to figure which pattern corresponds to which garment; the author could have made it clearer. Also, most dresses looked quite childish, so if you passed 30 you probably won't like the baby doll-looking dresses with baby doll sleeves; too much "doll" for my taste! Some interesting clothes, but such a hassle to copy them, I simply gave up.

It's hard to see past all the pattern mixing in the fabrics chosen too showcase these projects (and the overuse of ruffles!). Nice to see a plus size model demonstrating some of the projects -- shows that the patterns can be adapted for a wider range of figures. Might make one or two of these -- in a calmer, more controlled choice of fabrics!

This book would be great for young beginners. For my taste, they are too messy and confusing. (As the cover photo shows, there are usually three of more different fabrics to a project.)
