For decades, mysterious messages in the form of colorful 'tiles' have appeared, pasted on the streets of major cities up and down the western hemisphere. Containing the same bizarre, unsettling message, which seems to concern resurrecting the world's dead, most people walk over them without a thought, until now. Justin Duerr, long obsessed with the tiles, has begun a quest to unearth both their origins and meaning.

....What? So, I love the weird. Anything unexplained or uncanny is right up my alley. My reading list is monopolized by ghost stories, bigfoot, and urban legends galore. When I found out there was a U.S. based weird phenomenon I hadn't heard of, I knew this documentary was for me. Resurrect Dead follows a man and his search for the origin of mysterious tiles that started appearing around the world in the 1980s.

Without giving too much away, I'll say that I adored this documentary. I do wish that there was a little bit more detail about the ideas on the tiles. The filmmakers could have given me WAY more by way of weird theories. That said, this documentary has given me a new weird rabbit hole to research.

This is not a movie, but a documentary about searching for the creator of these tiles.
To which no answer is achieved. VERY disappointing. It is just about this person talking about what he has done to try to solve the mystery.

watched while doing other things as the subject matter felt a little dull, but it worked out, to see a half decent mystery well solved, many leads narrowed down to a satisfying ending - unlike fictional mysteries that disappoint.

an interesting film. made me more aware of random acts of urban art.

Not a bad little documentary. A look at a little true-life mystery and the eccentrics surrounding it.

Absolutely fascinating documentary about these mysterious tiles. Well worth watching.

I'd seen the tiles, too. The film is interesting in that is shows that a group of amateurs can solve a mystery . However, to become so obsessed with them? It was obvious, at least to me, that the maker of the tiles had no interest in being identiifed. Otherwise, wouldn't the maker have signed the tiles?? I'm glad that the main sleuth did realize this in the end.
