It is not often that I review a book before I am even 1/2 way finished reading it, but I had to sign on for something else and thought I would go ahead and rate this.

I think this book is horrible. Imagine if you will, that Donald Trump wrote a book about 'Idiot America." Do you think it would be a fair assessment on the anti-intellectualism and anti-science movements that seems to grown more and every day, or just a bunch of insults directed to those who disagree with his world view? This is very much a liberal slanted book, and I am a liberal, but it makes me think of Donald Trump and his campaign so far.

Very, very low on content, but high on insults. And to be fair, I am seriously not even half way through this book. I put it down and moved on to some others. I do hope to finish it, but yeah...

Just another liberal trying to belittle and degrade the United States.

Reading this book was a bit of a struggle, but the author has an interesting take on modern Americans and how they deal with important issues.

I believe that decades from now, this book will be valuable to historians trying to figure out what was wrong with those crazy early 21st century Americans. From a current perspective, I didn't find much here that I hadn't already seen elsewhere. Solid book; just not for me.
