Jackson promises that the 20 projects in her book are so simple and straightforward that anyone can build them. Even if you haven’t done a lot of wood working you have nothing to fear with these projects. Part 1 of the book is an introduction to making furniture. You can learn or brush up on the materials you will be working with and the tools you will need. There is plenty of information on how to use those tools safely as well as. The second section contains the 20 projects which include some fun garden items like stair box planters, an obelisk, and a lovely narrow three shelf plant shelf perfect for herbs or summer flowers. Even more exciting for me were the furniture ideas like a rolling coffee table and a set of sectional furniture with plans for a chair and both an ottoman and a lounger with storage. Plenty of bright, interesting and colourful images help bring the projects to life and to outline the steps involved in achieving the finished projects.
