A ruling class have emerged in America against the hopes and designs of our Founding Fathers. Over the last hundred years, they have rejected the Constitution and expanded their own power, slowly at first and now rapidly. These people believe their actions are justified because they think they are smarter than the rest of us -- so smart they can run our lives better than we can. But for all the power and resources at their command, they have failed. Miserably. Society has become increasingly unequal, even as we're promised "equality." Our government finances are out of control, our basic infrastructure is broken, and education is unaffordable and mediocre. And yet the Ruling Class think the solution is for us to grant them ever more control. We can stop this -- but to do so we must unite. Lawrence Lindsey, economic advisor to three Republican presidents, lays out his plan for how we can use common sense to change the way our country is run, with liberty for every person to pursue his or her own dreams.

Right on Epikoros. I couldn't put it better myself. The conservatives like Lawrence Lindsey are the elite who constantly pedal conspiracy theories.

It is very good for the author to point out that, we the people, are smart enough to make decision for ourselves, not by those "ruling class' elite, politician to tell us what is good for us.

The author gives very good examples in this book. Just look at the data cited in the book.

He points out that those "ruling class" are the one with money. Where, and how they got the money? by being in politics, and "cashing In" . Just look at some of the politicians... Obama collects a lot of money from his presidency. Another good example is the Clintons... cash in their names, and charge a lot for their appearances. Did Carter, Reagan, Bush or even Nixon got rich ( compare to the Clintons) got rich, charged money, set up "fund" for themselves?

This is just another regurgitation of the standard rightwing talking points. The problem isn't some theoretical elite that is smarter than the rest of us, or think they are -- it's an actual elite that have far more money than the rest of us and use it to control our politics, our businesses, our personal lives, and our rights. Do something about the real problem instead of wasting your time on yet another conservative diatribe.
