Another great read by author Steven James. You definitely should read this series in order! James is quite skilled at creating a lot of suspense and his character development is wonderful - there is palpable growth among the main characters from each book. This crime series conjures up more gruesome visuals so if you are squeamish, perhaps this is not the right series for you.

Every one of his books is excellent. But make sure you read them in order.

Entertaining even if a bit stiff and formulaic. Again, I cannot stress how much I hate the character of the stepdaughter. That young lady needs psychological help desperately
