Tamasha was actually much better than I had expected it to be. I had heard many negative reviews but I thought it was a sweet movie which depicts the life of a boy turning into a man, a man who struggles to find who he really is, what his identity is, due to the way he has grown up and what he's been told all his life. Tamasha is also a love story, as it is through this love that he finds himself. Overall, it was a bit slow in some places and could have been more fast paced, but it was a heart warming and cute movie, made even better by the actors in it.

One of the most brilliant hindi movie ever made. This movie carries a possibility that can inspire changed life to the observant viewer. Captured like canvass, first half is just prequel to build the essence of the movie. Absolute must watch!!

Despite good performances by both Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, the result is still an artsy-fartsy preachy annoyingly overwrought "tamasha" (circus) mess about being yourself instead of wearing a mask to blend into the status-quo. If you can survive their crazy antics up until the interval, then there is a pay-off otherwise just skip it entirely.

A very different story line with solid performances from the lead actors.

Not a bad movie, but was stretched way too long.
