If you're a Beatles lover, this is the book for you.

Among those writers, however, there is a Beatles hater -- Pico Iyer.

He says, " I am (almost defiantly) immune to their charms." As the "Church Lady" in the old SNL skits, would say: "Isn't that special?"

An interesting, insightful look at individual Beatles songs from the moptop days to "Let It Be," and their unique impacts on various listeners. Each essay focuses on one particular song as the writer recalls personal details, from being a child experiencing the magic of first discovering the Beatles, or perhaps how another song gained powerful meaning from its relationship to what was currently going on in the listener's life. Thoughtful, entertaining, and fun for any Beatles fan to explore.
