Weird. If you are into scavenge hunts this DVD is for you. Did some fast forwards. I checked this out because of Jeremy Irons. 116 minutes way too long.

I can understand objections to the film on moral grounds, but we should be careful with stone-throwing. The film depicts a real relationship with real emotions. I found the film to be deeply moving, depicting a journey of grief that is worth considering. The script, music, cinematography, and especially the acting were all excellent. It is worth your time.

What is wrong with the men in Hollywood? This character is so controlling that even after he is dead he has arranged to send videos, letters and gifts to his girlfriend and son (although not to his wife). Worse, the lover--less than half his age--lets him control her, and panics when he stops. Gross and disgusting movie that offends on so many levels. Skip it.

This young woman needs to get a life. No matter how much a person loves you it is not OK for time to be stolen from a family - especially if that person professes to love that family. Not my definition of love after 70 years. It does not matter how incomplete you feel, a "cheating" relationship causes harm all the way around to the lover who hides and lives on stolen time - to the children who lose quality time - to the cheater who loses identity and self-respect. I do not want to give the plot away, but you have to mourn what has ceased to be not live "as if". I will not even begin to speak of mental control / abuse. Kristi & Abby Tabby
