I benefited from reading this book. This is about a Christian interpretation of the psalms but also about interpretation of scripture as well. As I write this I am unsure where I stand with regards to religion and scriptures, I've moved away from what I believed as a child and teenager. I no longer "know" the "truth". The issues with canon have given me real pause. If you feel similarly, I strongly encourage you to read this book. Not because it has the "truth" but because it is one of the most complete and adult ways of viewing scripture that I have seen. Lewis does not shy from the hard questions and does not offer the naive edited view of the psalms that I've often seen. The book flows...perfectly. The chapters are short, but full of meaning. I read about a chapter a day over my morning coffee and consider it the best book I've read in some time.
