After 9/11, the United States made one of the most secretive and dangerous deals in its history. The evidence against the powerful Saudis who coordinated the attack would be buried. In return, King Faisal would promise to keep the oil flowing and deal with the conspirators in his midst. When the king's own nephew is discovered funding ISIS, the US president suspects that the Saudis never intended to live up to their agreement. He decides that the royalty needs to be sent a message and that Mitch Rapp is just the man to deliver it. The catch? Rapp must do it entirely on his own.

Liked the story but Kyle seems to feel the need to use a lot of profanity. Vince kept that at sort of a minimum as I recall.

Kyle Mills pulls off a credible Mitch Rapp following in Vince Flynn's (RIP) footsteps. ENEMY OF STATE is a very fun read as Rapp goes rogue (sort of) while trying to expose a traitor in the Saudi government. Unusual cast of characters from the old gang to some other characters out of previous Rapp adventures, to one really weird connection with an FBI agent who is a sworn Rapp enemy. Interesting story line and lots of intercontinental traveling with exciting outcomes. Plus you get so see glimpses of Rapp being an unconventional father-figure (sort of). Great read.

Mitch Rapp stories are always good. This one is no exception. Looking forward to the next one.

A big fan but found this one to be marginal at best. Predictable to being boring in some places. Try putting Rapp and the gang in a different area rather than the "Sand Box" countries. Too many authors writing for that part of the world.
