"I grew up on a farm, and I'm ten, so I don't know much about love. I know about cattle, chickens, two goats, sheep, and how to ride a horse. But I know love when I see it."
Sylvie doesn't initially understand how her Mother could give up being famous to live on a Wyoming farm. But, in this coming of age novel Sylvie finally gets it. There is nothing finer than a Patricia MacLachlan book.

For fans of Sarah, Plain and Tall, this new title by MacLachlin is for you. She has never disappointed me yet. A coming of age story with some fun, quirky but lovable characters. Suggested for Grade 3-4 readers.

I just adore Patricia MacLachlan. She weaves prose together like poetry. This one doesn't disappoint! I love that her child characters are so intrinsic and have so much to say about the world. Loved this one!
