"Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas's #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an epic, unforgettable conclusion. Aelin Galathynius's journey from slave to king's assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world. . . Aelin has risked everything to save her people-but at a tremendous cost. Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture. Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day... With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction. Yet they soon realize that the many allies they've gathered to battle Erawan's hordes might not be enough to save them. Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates. Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation-and a better world. And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen-before she is lost to him forever. As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series."--provided by publisher.

If you've stuck with Sarah J. Maas through this whole series, you will absolutely enjoy Kingdom of Ash. While I admit I was a bit dubious when I first started Throne of Glass, the books quickly grew on me. This is a completely satisfying conclusion! Without spoiling anything, I can tell you I was impressed at the tone of this book, and the way it was perfectly balanced between despair and hope. A great book and a great series, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Maas does next.

What a great conclusion to a stunning series. This is definitely Maas's masterpiece. I'm still having a hard time letting Aelin go, as well as Rowan, Chaol, Dorian, Manon, Lysandra, Aedion and everyone else. At least there is still the Court of Thorns and Roses series, but I believe the next book is the last of that series as well. Please Sarah, continue to write awesome Fae books, I can't handle this withdrawal!

This is one of my favorite books of all time. It follows four groups of characters:
1. Rowan, Gavriel, Lorcan, and Elide, trying to rescue Aelin
2. Aedion, Lysandra, Evangeline, and all the other allies defending Terrasen
3. Dorian, Manon, and the Thirteen rallying the Crochans and finding the third key
4. Chaol, Yrene, Nesryn, and the khagan's armies in Adarlan
In the end, they all meet up in an epic battle at Orynth that lasts a quarter of the book. It's amazing.

I loved the book, but I had really been expecting Maeve revealing that she was Fae, maybe daughter of Rhysand and Feyre. Still, she's great.

I can’t tell you how many times I cried whilst reading this. There are too many goodbyes and I can’t handle how much sadness is in this book. I am sort of glad this series is over, but I am positive that I will never forget this delightful and dangerous adventure. Rowan and Aelin are badasses with a profound love that will never break, Manon and Dorian are a perfect match, Yrene and Chaol have already begun their future, and The Thirteen will forever in my heart.

Abraxos, I feel you babe.

I will cherish Kingdom of Ash forever. In my opinion, I love KoA better than the other 7 books in TOG.

I give this a five star.

(Make sure you have a box of tissues and ice cream next to you.)

Talk about a book hangover. This was the final book in the Throne of Glass series and while it hurt to say goodbye to this wonderful cast of characters, it was a fitting and beautiful end to the story. I'm an emotional personality, but I don't cry very often during books. However, there were sections of this book that had me sobbing and needing to just put it down for a few hours because it was so heart-wrenching. I've come to love these characters and some of the losses were just devastating.

There were so many gorgeous, thrilling and terrifying moments in this book that I cannot possibly talk about them all, but certain scenes will stay with me for a long time to come. This series will most definitely be re-read for me in future years, many times over.

Absolutely stunning conclusion to the series! Loved reading every second of the book, and was enthralled the entire time. The ending just brings it all together for the reader, and made me cry and cheer for the characters at the same time.

Bloated and bloody. But even at 980 pages probably necessary reading for anyone who has persevered through the whole series. Romantics will be satisfied with the ending, as all the threads of the story are tied off.
