Talking about race with young children

In light of recent events and the current political environment the library invites families to have courageous conversations about race, police violence, and power in institutions. This list includes thought-provoking picture books for young readers that depict and describe racist interactions and race in developmentally appropriate ways. Please use this as a tool to learn together and talk with your child in these trying times.
