Pockets for Two
a Collection of Girlhood
The Minnesota History Center is hosting Girlhood (It’s complicated), an exhibit from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Showcasing interactive displays, media components, and over 100 objects from the Smithsonian collection, the exhibit explores how young women have continuously influenced politics, education, work, health, and fashion. To celebrate the exhibit coming to Saint Paul, the History Center has partnered with the Saint Paul Public Library to create a list of recommended picture and early chapter books for children about girlhood. For information about the exhibit, go to https://www.mnhs.org/historycenter/activities/museum/girlhood.
